Every spring, the eaves that face our front door serve as a home for nesting birds. This year, we decided to take some photos.

This year, it appears that there are only three eggs – a good thing, as in the past, an egg has fallen out of the nest. And once, I had to shield my then very young daughter from seeing a dead hatchling that had been shoved out before its time. Three looks like a manageable brood. Will update when they hatch!
